Throughout August, Homestead Church is collecting jars of peanut butter for the 125 LIVE Food Bank. Peanut butter is nutritious, shelf-stable, and one of the food bank’s most-needed items.
Everyone is invited to join in! Simply bring one or more jars of peanut butter and drop them off at the church building during August. Together, we can help provide good food for our neighbors in need.
Each November, near Veterans Day, Homestead Church hosts our annual Hot Dish Cookoff—a fun and friendly competition supporting the people who have served our country.
We partner with the local Disabled American Veterans (DAV) chapter, and every dollar raised goes directly to the DAV’s work serving veterans in our community. Guests are invited to sample the entries, vote for their favorites, and enjoy good food and fellowship for a wonderful cause.
The Hot Dish Cookoff is one of our favorite traditions: neighbors gathering around the table, having fun, and showing our gratitude to local veterans in a practical way.
